Men’s sandals are more versatile than ever. Slide them on with tailored shorts and a linen shirt for summer weekends, or team them with chinos and a tee for a relaxed, smart-casual look. Leather sandals add polish, while sporty or cushioned styles work well for off-duty days. Keep colours classic- think black, tan or olive and you’re set for any occasion.

The best way to wash kids’ shoes depends on the material. For most leather or suede styles, skip the washing machine — instead, wipe them clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For fabric or sport shoes, remove the laces and insoles, then hand wash in cool water and let them air dry. Avoid heat or dryers, as they can warp the shape. Regular cleaning keeps shoes looking fresh and helps them last longer (because let’s face it, kids are tough on shoes!).

The key to comfy thong sandals is support and fit. Choose a pair with built-in arch support and soft, flexible straps that don’t rub between the toes. Breaking them in gradually helps too, wear them for short periods at first. For extra comfort, look for cushioned footbeds or premium materials like leather.

The best hiking sandals for women combine traction, cushioning and durability. Look for contoured footbeds that support your arches, adjustable straps for a secure fit, and sturdy soles with plenty of grip. Waterproof materials are a bonus for creek crossings or beach trails. Brands like ECCO and Birkenstock are known for hiking-ready comfort that still looks great off the trail.

The most popular Birkenstock colours are timeless neutrals like Taupe Suede, Black Leather, and Stone, versatile shades that pair with almost anything. Seasonal favourites like Metallic Copper or Mocha also stay in high demand. These classic tones highlight Birkenstock’s natural materials and effortless style that never goes out of fashion.

The most popular women’s Birkenstock is the iconic Arizona, a timeless two-strap sandal loved for its comfort, versatility and effortless style. Other favourites include the elegant Mayari with its toe loop and the minimalist Madrid slide. With Birkenstock’s signature contoured cork footbed, every pair delivers that perfect mix of comfort and classic design.

Not all thongs are bad for your feet — it depends on the design. Cheap, flat flip-flops offer no arch support or cushioning, which can cause heel pain, fatigue, or instability. However, supportive options like FitFlop thong sandals are a different story. FitFlop designs feature ergonomic midsoles, arch contouring, and shock absorption, helping to align your feet and reduce strain. They provide the casual comfort of a thong with the support of a wellness shoe. So while basic thongs are best for the beach, FitFlop thongs are a smart, stylish choice for everyday comfort and long-term foot health.

No — it’s not illegal to drive in thongs in Australia. However, it’s recommended to choose footwear that gives you good control of the pedals. Loose or slippery thongs can sometimes make driving less safe. If you’re after a secure, supportive option, Archies thongs are a great choice — their snug fit and contoured design stay comfortably on your foot, even when you’re behind the wheel.
