I have owned many pairs of Birkenstocks over the years and I currently have Amsterdam, Arizona, Madrid and a leather pair of Boston on constant rotation - all superb. I was so excited to add the Boston Suede Shearling to my collection, until they arrived. The quality is so poor - glue marks, uneven shearling that is nowhere near as thick as in the pictures, and the top is not aligned to the sole properly on one shoe. I tried to get over it but after one day of wear around the house the shearling/glue has started coming away from the heel. I can’t imagine what they are going to look like after a few weeks/months of wear. Definitely not worth the $. Kmart quality would have been just as good, or better.

Sorry Bstore - as always, amazing service and super fast delivery - I'm just really disappointed in Birkenstock.

the story of getting them is long and with mixed views
i wanted them a year ago and couldn't get them (none in store last winter)
now they are in perth and i tried them on in claremont, for some reason the lady gave me one regular and one slim sizing so that was confusing, my son who was with me bought them as a surprise. went home, tried them on and they were too big (i needed the smaller size in regular. went back to claremont don't have them. went to nedlands, they had the size wrong colour so said please return as one online. the lady who was not assisted by her manager who was out the back, debited my son's card instead of credited and then had to reverse that. a lot of money for a young chap to wait 5-7 days for. then i ordered them online. they arrived. they had a scratch on one of them middle front and both scuffed in the way they were packed. the suede was marked. i went back to claremont. no stock in store which i knew and none online. the assistant was the best and very helpful. we talked about the options but i really wanted them so i decided to keep them.
