I bought these in white and love them. So now I have the black as well. It is important to wear them in first. They are very comfortable.

I could wear these all day straight away. Have had a few compliments on them too. Simple and classic, also lower rise around my ankle than other brands which suits me.

I have been wearing Birkenstock sandals for many years; but in the past I have typically been disappointed by Birkenstock *shoes* -- i.e. closed-toe things one might wear in winter -- as the insoles tended not to be of the same quality as found in the sandals. So I hesitated to buy these. But I had been struggling with plantar fasciitis, so I was desperate and took a chance. Very glad that I did. These shoes are excellent orthopedically; they are of extremely high quality; and I also like the way they look. Really glad I bought them.

Very comfortable as soon as I put them on, no need for a “breaking in” period.

As the title says, I’m a real fan of these shoes. Firstly, I’m new to the world of othotics (having nearly been crippled without them) but I can easily slip them in and walk all day, something I’ve not been able to do in a year. Secondly, the Birkie footbed is so good I can even get away with not using my orthotics! These shoes are well made, and securely fit around my foot, so there’s no chance of me rolling my ankles. I already had a pair of white which I’ve worn all through summer, and now a black pair to give me some variety. Do yourself a favour and get yourself a pair.

Love these shoes! Live in birk sandals, so when my work shoes needed replacing I was happy to see Birkenstock had a new shoe in their range!
A friend warned me that she had to go up a size for the shoe, so ordered 1 size larger than my sandals - and the fit is perfect.
