If you already wear Birkenstock sandals you are usually the same size in the closed toe options. A great perk about the Bend is you can remove the footbeds and buy replacements as needed. The leather will soften and stretch over time as well as mould to your foot, creating a soft, comfortable fit.

We do recommend breaking them in slowing over the first couple of weeks due to the footbed moulding and the leather softening. When standing stationary, your foot should sit comfortably in the footbed. Your toes should not be touching the end or the top of the shoes. There should be a 5 mm gap around your foot to allow for the foot to move comfortably in the footbed as the shoe flexes while you walk.
