History

Camper was created by Lorenzo Fluxa in 1975 in Inca, the rural heart of Mallorca. The brand's history began almost 100 years prior when Lorenzo's grandfather, a skilled cobbler, returned from England with the island's first sewing machine, starting a shoemaking tradition that would become Camper two generations later.

Recycled Materials

As part of their commitment to reducing petroleum-based products in their designs, Camper use recycled polyester for many of their linings, laces and outsoles, and they are working toward using only recycled synthetic materials by 2025.

Sustainability

Camper are committed to adapting and improving their production and manufacturing processes in an environmentally conscious way, sourcing renewable materials and undertaking sustainable practises. Camper are members of the Better Cotton Initiative and the Leather Working Group, and their factories and supply chains adhere to a strict code of conduct to minimise their environmental impact.

Camper Size Guide

How to find your size

Most Birkenstock styles are available in 'regular' or 'narrow' width.

Narrow width is suitable for narrow to slender feet.

Regular width is suitable for normal to wide feet.

If you already own a pair of Birkenstocks or are trying them on in store - check out the little foot symbol on the footbed. If the foot is coloured in, it's a narrow (N). If it's just an outline of a foot, it's a regular (R).
