The Birkenstock Rio has been a laid-back summer companion for generations of children since the 70s. Birkenstock has reinterpreted the Rio sandal in a range of colours in a high-quality synthetic material. Modeled on the cork sandal, it is made from the ultra lightweight, waterproof and highly flexible synthetic material EVA.

Fitting Notes:

• The Rio sandal is perfect for those who want a little more stability. Featuring two adjustable straps across the top of the foot as well as an additional heel strap, these sandals are suitable for narrower and broader feet.
• They are quick to soften up but may rub a little bit on the foot to begin with so it's best to wear them in gradually.
• Please avoid leaving these in direct sunlight or extreme heat as EVA can shrink.
• Please note that Birkenstock EVA sandals are not designed as an everyday street shoe. They are perfect for around the pool, at the beach or on the boat, though they are not designed for regular use on concrete or pavement and this will impact their longevity.
