Birkenstock Classic - Women Fit Details

This shoe is a standard width and suitable for people with regular width feet.

This shoe runs true to size. We recommend sticking with your usual size.

This shoe provides advanced support features, such as a contoured footbed with longitudinal, metatarsal and transverse arch support, heel cup and mould, and raised toe bar to provide basic orthotic support.

How to find your size

Step 1

Stand on a level floor with your heel up against the wall or straight edge.

Step 2

Place a ruler or measuring tape on the floor under your foot or alongside it, with your heel at 0cm.

Step 3

Measure the length of your foot from your heel to the end of your longest toe (yes, even if it's your second toe).

Step 4

Measure both feet and go with the length of your longest foot if they are different. If you are in between sizes, we recommend going for the larger size.

Step 5

Check out the size charts below to find your size. All sizes listed are either in US or EU, depending on the brand.

Most Birkenstock styles are available in 'regular' or 'narrow' width.

Narrow width is suitable for narrow to slender feet.

Regular width is suitable for normal to wide feet.

If you already own a pair of Birkenstocks or are trying them on in store - check out the little foot symbol on the footbed. If the foot is coloured in, it's a narrow (N). If it's just an outline of a foot, it's a regular (R).

    Lightweight comfy wonders

    Recently returned from a European holidays and I regret not buying these earlier to take with with instead of my regular birks…which are still the bomb but these are so lightweight and great for packing and dressing up with a flowing dress for drinks by the sea or simply wearing to walk on cobbled beaches and still look hip doing it. LOVE LOVELOVE them. Need in every colour. So comfortable in true Birk style. Everyone rocking them across the Mediterranean. Versatile. Dry quickly . Easy to pack. True to size. I bought narrow and fit perfectly.

    Fantastic and easy to wear!

    These sandals are just as comfortable as the ‘normal’ Birkenstock styles. I wear them to my hydrotherapy sessions and they are comfortable and easy to wear. I am so happy with them.
